Man arrested for attempted murder of estranged wife | News

SEMINOLE, Fla. -- Pinellas County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man who they say allegedly stabbed his estranged wife.

According to deputies, the suspect, 36-year-old Jack Woods, approached the victim, 30-year-old Danielle Figgatt, outside a home on 113th Street North in Seminole around 5:38 a.m. on January 29 and stabbed her with an unknown object.

Acquaintances of Figgatt carried her inside, called 911, and placed pressure on the wound until emergency services arrived. Deputies say Figgatt was stabbed on the right side of her abdomen. She was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with possible life-threatening injuries.

Woods was arrested for attempted felony murder and violation injuction/protection from domestic violence.
