Raising strong girls | Events

Seminole, Florida - As parents, we want to raise strong, well-adjusted kids. Many would argue girls have more hurdles than boys. Giving our young ladies a little bit of an edge is our duty as parents, and that's what the organization, Girls Incorporated, is all about.

Mary Lynn Jones, a community liaison for Girls Inc., will be the featured speaker at a breakfast hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Seminole.

The breakfast is set for Tuesday, April 17 at 7:25 a.m. at the Seminole Family Restaurant on Seminole Blvd.

Ms. Jones will speak  on the focuses of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). This year's summer camp will own a heavy emphasis on physics and astronomy.
