Vacancies announced for Seminole Recreation District | Community Spirit

Seminole, Florida -- Résumés are now being accepted for three appointments to the Greater Seminole Area Special Recreation District.

The Greater Seminole Area Special Recreation District is a seven-commissioner district responsible for the administration of the recreational land and facilities included in the district. Five members are appointed by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners and two by the Seminole City Council.

Currently, there are two four-year terms open. Another vacancy has opened with two years left to the term. Members are required to be registered voters of the district and to have resided within the district for at least one year prior to the appointment. Résumés must be sent no later than the close of business on Wednesday, Nov. 21. The commission will make their selections at the Tuesday, Nov. 27, Board of County Commissioners meeting.
